Chelsea 'to move for Juventus's Arturo Vidal'

Chelsea are looking to sign Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal, according to a report.

Chelsea are reportedly mulling a £20m move for Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal at the end of the season as Jose Mourinho plots the rebuilding of his squad.

The Portuguese manager has sent scouts to watch the 26-year-old Chilean international and is thought to view the player as a possible replacement for veteran Blues star Frank Lampard, according to The People.

Vidal is said to fancy a move away from Turin and the Italian champions are rumoured to be keen on Chelsea midfielder Ramires, which may lead to a summer swap deal.

Mourinho is reportedly looking to recruit another central midfielder to partner Nemanja Matic in the long term.

Chelsea will have their Premier League title credentials tested on Sunday with a visit to Anfield to take on table-topping Liverpool.
