Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly both interested in bringing Roma's Leonardo Spinazzola to the Premier League during this summer's transfer window.
The 28-year-old has made a strong impression for Italy at this summer's European Championship, starring in their opening two matches against Turkey and Switzerland.
Spinazzola was a key player for Roma during the 2020-21 campaign, meanwhile, contributing two goals and eight assists in 39 appearances in all competitions.
According to The Express, Chelsea and Spurs could go head-to-head for the defender's signature, with the latter potentially at the head of the queue despite talks with Paulo Fonseca breaking down.
Spinazzola played under Fonseca at Roma and is believed to have a close relationship with the manager, who is no longer thought to be in the running for the Tottenham job.
The Italian played as a centre-back, a left-back and a left midfielder for his Serie A club during the 2020-21 campaign but has been used as a left-back for his country at Euro 2020.
