Shanghai Shenhua manager Sergio Batista expects former Chelsea star Didier Drogba to finalise a move to China.

Former Chelsea forward Didier Drogba remains on course to complete a transfer to Shanghai Shenhua, despite reports claiming that talks had reached an obstacle.

It was suggested that the Champions League winner was demanding more money than what was on offer, throwing the Ivorian's move into doubt.

Despite initial concerns, Shenhua's new manager Sergio Batista has claimed that Drogba is likely to move to the Chinese Super League.

"The possibility of Drogba coming is still relatively large," said Batista. "I believe the club's management is still in contact with Drogba."

Drogba, who decided to leave the Blues after eight years at the club this summer, will be reunited with former Chelsea teammate Nicolas Anelka.
