Burnley boss Sean Dyche says that forward Ashley Barnes will not be leaving the Clarets during the January transfer window.

Burnley boss Sean Dyche has dismissed suggestions that Ashley Barnes could leave Turf Moor before the end of the month.

Barnes has only made eight starts in the Premier League this season, but the 28-year-old has been linked with both Chelsea and Crystal Palace.

However, when quizzed about the player's future, Dyche told reporters at a press conference that Barnes would remain with the Clarets for the rest of the season.

Barnes has spent the last four years at Burnley, scoring 18 goals in 123 appearances in all competitions.

Dyche has suggested, however, that he will continue to consider potential incomings and outgoings on a deal-by-deal basis.
