Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has taken a swipe at Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur by backing Harry Kane to join "a big club".
The England international confirmed his status as the world's hottest striker by netting a hat-trick in the Three Lions' 6-1 win over Panama on Sunday afternoon, taking him to the top of the World Cup scoring stakes.
Talk of a move to Real Madrid has cooled of late after signing a new long-term deal with the Lilywhites, which will run through until 2024, but Fabregas believes that the time is right for Kane to try his luck away from North London.
"Harry Kane is probably the best striker in the Premier League," he told BBC Sport prior to Kane's treble against Panama. "I think he's now ready to go to a big club."
Kane finished second to Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah in the Premier League's Golden Boot race last season.
