Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira has raised questions about his future by revealing that he feels "insulted" by the Spanish media.
The German international claims that he has been the victim of unfair treatment and fears that he will never win his critics over because he is not from Spain.
He also believes that his relationship with former Los Blancos and current Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho has singled him out for criticism.
"I feel insulted by the Spanish press, I will never be one of their favourite sons," the 26-year-old told German magazine Kicker.
"I began the season on the bench and once again I've been made a scapegoat.
"They don't value me, even when I play well. I'm not Spanish, I didn't cost a lot and I'm a disciple of Mourinho."
Khedira moved to the Spanish capital from Stuttgart in 2010.
