Argentine midfielder Leandro Paredes has seemingly confirmed that he is heading for Chelsea.

The 24-year-old currently turns out for Russian outfit Zenit St Petersburg, but his future has been the subject of much speculation over the last couple of days.

Paredes has dropped a huge hint that he is nearing a move to Stamford Bridge, having retweeted a video on his Twitter account which was titled: 'Welcome to Chelsea'.

The player came through the youth system at Boca Juniors but has turned out for Chievo, Roma, Empoli and latterly Zenit during his time in European football.

The nine-time Argentina international has scored four times and contributed four assists in 22 appearances for Zenit during the 2018-19 campaign.
