Liverpool, Chelsea 'to battle for Alex Telles'

Liverpool and Chelsea are reportedly involved in a three-way battle with Paris Saint-Germain to sign Porto full-back Alex Telles this summer.

Premier League rivals Liverpool and Chelsea are reportedly both interested in signing Porto full-back Alex Telles this summer.

Both clubs are looking to bolster their options at wing-back despite Andrew Robertson and Marcos Alonso establishing themselves as first choice in their respective teams.

Le Parisien reports that Telles has a £35m release clause in his contract at Porto, which has drawn the attention of Jurgen Klopp and Antonio Conte in their search fo squad improvements.

Liverpool want to bring in a new left-back in order to sell Alberto Moreno, who is entering the final year of his contract, while Conte has been linked with a number of players in that position in order to provide competition for Alonso.

However, both clubs could face a challenge from Paris Saint-Germain for his signature, with the Ligue 1 champions also understood to be interested.

Telles joined Porto in 2016 and has gone on to make almost 100 appearances for the club across all competitions.
