Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi is expected to be the subject of a bidding war between Liverpool and Chelsea in January, according to reports.
The 21-year-old Argentine has been in sterling form for the Nerazzurri, scoring a total of 16 goals in his 33 Serie A appearances since his arrival from Sampdoria last year.
However, the Express claims that Icardi is not part of new manager Roberto Mancini's plans, with Liverpool and Chelsea rumoured to have set aside £28m in order to sign the forward in the next transfer window.
Former Inter manager Jesus Hernandez has previously claimed that Icardi "has the talent to be the new Ronaldo".
