Man City, Chelsea and Real Madrid are reportedly locked in battle to sign RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol, despite the player admitting Liverpool are his 'dream club'.

Manchester City, Chelsea and Real Madrid are reportedly set to battle for the signature of RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol.

The Croatian signed for the German club in 2020 and penned a one-year contract extension last summer to ward off interest from the Blues.

GOAL reports that the 20-year-old is a target for the Spanish giants and the Premier League clubs, after his impressive displays at the World Cup in Qatar, with Leipzig prepared to accept an offer of €120m (£105.8m).

The report also claims that Real Madrid have met twice with Leipzig, and are ready to pay the fee in two instalments of €60m (£52.9m) each.

Chelsea and City's offers of €80m (£70m) and €90m (£79.5m) respectively, have both been rejected.

The outlet claims that Gvardiol is ready to accept Los Blancos' offer of a €6m (£5.2m) yearly salary plus bonuses, which is significantly lower than Chelsea's offer of £7.9m a season.

The 19-cap international declared that he was honoured by interested from Madrid and Chelsea in December, however, he admitted that Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool was his 'dream club' in his childhood.
