Middlesbrough will reportedly make a move for Patrick Bamford in the January transfer wwindow following his impressive loan spell at the Riverside last season.
The 22-year-old Chelsea striker is currently on loan at Crystal Palace, but has struggled for first-team action.
According to The Northern Echo, Middlesbrough are getting ready to pounce as Bamford is believed to be considering triggering a release clause in his loan agreement at Selhurst Park.
The report adds that Bamford is likely to have talks with Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho next month as he does not want to spend the second half of the season on the bench.
Bamford scored 17 goals in the Championship while on loan at Middlesbrough last season.
