Chelsea's Papy Djilobodji heading for Stuttgart?

Chelsea defender Papy Djilobodji is reportedly close to joining German side Stuttgart on an 18-month loan deal.

Stuttgart have reportedly offered Papy Djilobodji a route out of Chelsea this month.

The centre-back arrived at Stamford Bridge in the summer from Nantes in a deal worth £2.25m.

However, he has barely featured for the Blues since then, having appeared for just 60 seconds of a League Cup tie against Walsall.

As a result, the 27-year-old may now switch to Bundesliga outfit Stuttgart on an 18-month loan deal, according to The Mirror.

It was speculated at the time that Djilobodji had only been signed at the 11th hour following Chelsea's failed pursuit of Everton centre-back John Stones.
