Claudio Ranieri admits interest in bringing Frank Lampard to Monaco.

AS Monaco manager Claudio Ranieri has admitted that he would be keen to bring Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard to the club should they win promotion from Ligue 2.

Monaco are currently three points off the top of France's second division and look set for a return to Ligue 1.

Ranieri has insisted that Lampard could play anywhere and would be keen on signing the Englishman in the summer.

"It would be fantastic [to sign him] and he would suit Ligue 1," ESPN quotes Ranieri as saying. "Frank can play in every country."

Monaco travel to face Le Mans on Saturday afternoon.
