Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has reportedly taken matters into his own hands by beginning talks to sign winger Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund.
The Blues are supposedly desperate to sign at least one more attacking option to their ranks before the transfer window closes, having so far added just Jorginho.
According to the Daily Mail, Abramovich arrived in Antibes on Saturday to discuss transfer plans with director Marina Granovskaia, before then meeting with Dortmund officials.
Pulisic, who has been strongly linked with Liverpool in the past, is said to be a £65m target for Chelsea as they look to build a side capable of challenging for the title once again.
The report suggests that Liverpool and Chelsea may now go head to head for Pulisic's signature, with the American's stock rising thanks to some impressive displays on Dortmund's tour of the United States.
