Report: Maurizio Sarri plotting to raid former club Chelsea

Chelsea pair Jorginho and Emerson Palmieri are reportedly being eyed up by Maurizio Sarri, who was confirmed as the new head coach of Juventus on Sunday.

Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri is reportedly keen on raiding former club Chelsea for Italian pair Jorginho and Emerson Palmieri.

The 60-year-old was confirmed as Massimiliano Allegri's successor at the Allianz Stadium on Sunday, ending his 11-month spell in charge of the Blues.

According to The Times, Sarri wants to add Jorginho and Emerson to his squad as part of a rebuild.

Jorginho was lured to Stamford Bridge from Napoli, another of Sarri's former clubs, last summer in a £52m deal but has struggled to impose himself.

Emerson won over Sarri in the second half of the season, meanwhile, and he also boasts Serie A experience following his time with Roma.

Outgoing business at Chelsea appears unlikely, however, as the club are currently unable to sign any new players for the next year.
