Thomas Tuchel has reportedly asked Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich to consider using Timo Werner as part of a swap deal for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Braut Haaland.
Chelsea are rumoured to be one of a number of teams in the running to sign Haaland at the end of the campaign should Dortmund cash in.
The Norway international has scored 49 goals in as many appearances for BVB since arriving from Red Bull Salzburg in January 2020.
Werner's strike rate is far less impressive at Chelsea, the German forward managing just 10 goals in 39 outings in all competitions.
Spanish outlet Sport suggests that Tuchel is willing to sacrifice Werner if it helps Chelsea land top target Haaland, though the Blues will also likely have to pay a large cash sum.
The report indicates that Tuchel has even discussed the possibility with Abramovich, who is expected to heavily back the German coach this summer.
Chelsea have also been tipped to move for Real Madrid midfielder Martin Odegaard when his Arsenal loan deal expires at the end of the campaign.
