Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel says that he has "no concerns" over the commitment of Andreas Christensen, who has allegedly agreed to join Barcelona.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has insisted that he has "no concerns" over the commitment of defender Andreas Christensen.

If reports are to be believed, the Denmark international has already agreed to sign for Barcelona when his Chelsea contract expires in June.

However, despite the 25-year-old only being an unused substitute against Brentford at the weekend, Tuchel has suggested that the centre-back will remain in his plans for the rest of this campaign.

Speaking to reporters at a press conference, Tuchel said: "No concerns. Maybe it is a big more challenging for him that normal in a moment where everything is clear. But maybe he cleared his future.

"I don't know it yet, but for me it is very clear when I had conversations with him last summer and through winter. The bottom line was that as long as he is my player, I will not expect anything less than 100% commitment. This is what I demand for him.

"That he was out Saturday was nothing personal. It was just a tactical choice. He is our player and we want to have the most of him. He needs to be focus. This is his job and it's what we expect."

Having started seven of Chelsea's eight Champions League fixtures this season, Christensen could return to a back three for Wednesday's fixture against Real Madrid.
