Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Rudi Voller insists that there is "nothing to confirm" regarding Andre Schurrle's potential move to Chelsea.

Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Rudi Voller has asked for patience regarding striker Andre Schurrle's potential move to Chelsea.

It was revealed last week that a fee had been agreed for Schurrle, which appeared to indicate that a deal was close to being concluded, but Voller has insisted that there has been no progression with talks between the two clubs.

The former German striker told reporters: "There is nothing to confirm. Of course, we talked about it, but there is nothing to report.

"The interest from Chelsea is there. Let's wait."

The 22-year-old forward has scored 23 goals in 83 appearances for Leverkusen.
