Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leeds United are reportedly ready to join the race to sign Chelsea's in-demand forward Armando Broja.

Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leeds United are reportedly contemplating whether to join the race to sign Chelsea forward Armando Broja.

The 20-year-old is currently on loan at Southampton, where he has contributed seven goals from 20 appearances in all competitions.

Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl has already acknowledged that he wants to sign the Albania international on a permanent basis, while Newcastle United are also said to be keen on the youngster.

According to TEAMtalk, Wolves and Leeds are monitoring an evolving situation, aware that Chelsea are likely to wait until the summer before making any decisions.

While Wolves seemingly have settled frontline options in Raul Jimenez and Fabio Silva, the club's owners may be prepared to invest in Broja with Jimenez turning 31 years of age in May and his contract expiring in 2024.

As it stands, Leeds are in far greater need of a new striker, although any approach for Broja may be delayed until it is determined whether head coach Marcelo Bielsa will remain at Elland Road past the end of the season.

Everton may also be in the market for a fresh face in attack given the uncertainty surrounding Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, and the managerial appointment of former Chelsea boss Frank Lampard would surely help their cause with the Englishman having given Broja his senior debut.
