Southend United midfielder Bilel Mohsni has insisted that Crewe Alexandra's second goal in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final on Sunday should not have stood.
The Frenchman, whose side lost 2-0 to the League One outfit, believes that he was fouled by Luke Murphy in the buildup to Max Clayton's goal.
"Of course it's a foul because he pushed me from my back," he told Press Association Sport.
"I did it in the first half and he (the referee) gave a free kick so he has to give me the free kick. When you lose the ball in this position Crewe are a good team. It's really, really a shame but we have to move on.
"In the league we have five more games to play, maybe come back here and have a chance to win in the playoffs. We will see."
Southend currently sit 12th in the League Two table.
