Crystal Palace boss Ian Holloway hails "outstanding" Glenn Murray following his goalscoring performance in his side's win over Bristol City.

Crystal Palace boss Ian Holloway has hailed the performance of goalscorer Glenn Murray in his side's 2-1 win over Bristol City.

Murray scored his 28th goal of the season as Palace kept the pressure on the team above them in the race for promotion to the Premier League.

Holloway told reporters: "[Murray] was outstanding. We need to run away from the ball a bit more as a group. When we do we're a lot more dangerous.

"You saw the confidence after we did score from Jedinak's ball. The confidence flowed and we looked a different team. The fizz wasn't there today but the shape was good enough."

Palace are currently fourth in the Championship, just four points behind Hull City in the automatic promotion places.
