Mile Jedinak calls for swift Tony Pulis replacement

Mile Jedinak urges Crystal Palace's hierarchy to name Tony Pulis's replacement at Selhurst Park as early as possible.

Crystal Palace captain Mile Jedinak has called on the club's hierarchy to announce manager Tony Pulis's replacement as soon as possible.

The 56-year-old left his post at Selhurst Park last Thursday, just two days before the Eagles' Premier League opener at Arsenal, where a stoppage-time goal saw them lose 2-1.

Malky Mackay and Tim Sherwood are reportedly on a shortlist of names to replace Pulis, and Jedinak wants a swift resolution to ensure Palace's season does not suffer from the turmoil.

"What happens is out of your control and something you cannot have an influence on, you just need to get on with it," he told Sky Sports News.

"We did that and I cannot stress how proud I am of the group. We all know how important it is to get a manager installed at the football club.

"For us it would be ideal [to be a quick appointment], but it is not up to us. I am sure the guys above and powers at be know what they are doing and hopefully will get something ready for us in the not too distant future."

Jedinak and co face West Ham United at Selhurst Park on Saturday.
