Alan Pardew calls for response against Leicester City

Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew calls for a response from his side when they take on Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has backed his side to gain a result from their trip to Leicester City on Saturday.

Pardew admits that he was disappointed with his team's performance against West Ham United last weekend but after testing the Foxes in both fixtures last season, the Eagles manager feels that his players are capable of causing a surprise at the King Power Stadium.

The 55-year-old is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "We come off a disappointing performance against West Ham, particularly the first half where we didn't dictate the game as I would have liked.

"I want my team to respond and we need to turn up for this one. We were very close to getting something last year against them in both games but because of the season they had last year they edged both, and you have to admire them for that but now we need to look at doing the same."

Palace currently sit three points clear of Leicester in the Premier League table.
