Jason Puncheon: 'Crystal Palace must believe in Manchester City scalp'

Crystal Palace winger Jason Puncheon says that his teammates will be thumped by Manchester City unless they believe that an upset is possible.

Jason Puncheon has told his Crystal Palace teammates to believe that they can shock Manchester City this afternoon.

Neil Warnock's side face the Premier League champions at Eastlands with just one win in their last 10 top-flight outings.

The Eagles' strike force has come under scrutiny in recent weeks, with Palace scoring just twice in their last four games, but Puncheon says that the goalscoring burden is one to be shared around the team.

"We all know we should have got more from the Tottenham game but the most important thing is that as a group we keep believing in our own game and take that into the match this weekend at Manchester City," he told the club's official website.

"We have been creating chances in recent weeks but the goals just haven't come but it's not just about the strikers.

"We all have to take responsibility on doing our bit to get the results, players all over the field have to get into the right positions and take their chances."

In contrast to the Londoners, City have won each of their last seven games in all competitions ahead of today's clash.
