Neil Warnock: 'Crystal Palace must take positives from Manchester City defeat'

Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock insists that the side must take the positives from their 3-0 defeat to Manchester City in the Premier League.

Neil Warnock has said that Crystal Palace must try to take the positives from their defeat to Manchester City in the Premier League this afternoon.

The visitors had a goal disallowed as they were beaten 3-0 at the Etihad Stadium, a result which leaves them 17th in the table, out of the relegation zone only on goal difference.

The Eagles manager told the club's website: "We must take out the positives and even though it's disappointing not to get any points and I'm disappointed for the players because they put so much in and we go away with so little.

"It is frustrating but I have to hope we will get the rub of the green eventually and I am told it evens itself out over a season so we should get a great second half of the campaign.

"We have to dust ourselves down and get ready for the normal period of games at this time of year. It's a busy time for players but for me it is what English football is all about, a fixture programme over the festive period is what Christmas is about and I am looking forward to it."

Palace return to action when they host Southampton at Selhurst Park on Boxing Day.
