Team News: Toby Alderweireld recovers to make Southampton bench

Southampton make two changes ahead of their Premier League clash against Crystal Palace on Monday evening, with defender Toby Alderweireld among the subs.

Southampton have made two changes ahead of their Premier League clash against Crystal Palace this evening.

Eljero Elia and Filip Djuricic come into the Saints' starting XI in place of Florin Gardos and Dusan Tadic.

Defender Toby Alderweireld is available after a seven-week lay-off with a hamstring injury, but is rested on the bench.

Meanwhile, Palace midfielder Mile Jedinak misses out on this evening's game after being banned for four matches by the Football Association.

The 30-year-old accepted a charge of violent conduct for elbowing West Ham United striker Diafra Sakho on Saturday and is one of three changes this evening for the Eagles.

Glenn Murray is also suspended, while Jordon Mutch is unavailable after incurring a thigh injury. Joe Ledley, James McArthur and Dwight Gayle are drafted in as their replacements.

Southampton: Forster, Clyne, Fonte, Yoshida, Bertrand, Wanyama, Schneiderlin, Djuricic, Elia, Mane, Pelle
Subs: K. Davis, Gardos, Long, S. Davis, Tadic, Ward-Prowse, Alderweireld

Palace: Speroni, Kelly, Delaney, Dann, Ward, McArthur, Ledley, Zaha, Puncheon, Bolasie, Gayle
Subs: Hennessey, Mariappa, Hangeland, Souare, Boateng, Gray, Ameobi
