Yohan Cabaye has claimed that he received no offers from any of the Premier League's top sides before joining Crystal Palace.
The French midfielder became the Eagles' record signing when he moved from Paris Saint-Germain for £10m earlier this summer, linking up with former Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew once again.
Cabaye had been linked with Arsenal prior to joining Palace, but the 29-year-old has insisted that moving to Selhurst Park was not his second choice.
"No-one from the big clubs came forward, but it's not a default choice, far from it," he told the London Evening Standard.
"I have been reunited with my former coach and I was not heading into the unknown. I feel really good."
Cabaye has netted one goal in his three Premier League appearances for Palace so far.
