Crystal Palace reportedly want to sign free agent Carlton Cole to bolster their attacking options next season.

Crystal Palace are eyeing a move for former West Ham United striker Carlton Cole, according to a report.

The former England international was released by the Hammers at the end of last season after failing to force his way into the first-team.

Palace boss Ian Holloway wants to add the 29-year-old to his squad to bolster his side's attacking options ahead of their return to the Premier League, reports The Express.

Cole scored just twice in 29 appearances for Sam Allardyce's team last season.
