Former Everton youngster Jose Baxter emerges as a reported transfer target for Crystal Palace.

Crystal Palace boss Dougie Freedman has revealed that the club are interested in signing former Everton youngster Jose Baxter.

Baxter, 20, is a free agent after leaving the Toffees this summer, and Freedman has claimed that meetings between the two parties have taken place.

"What's happened with Jose is he's a young guy that I've had many meetings with. He's a fantastic young player, but he's got offers from other clubs," Freedman told reporters.

Palace finished 17th in the Championship last season.
