Crystal Palace are reportedly preparing a bid for Newcastle United attacker Andros Townsend.
The 24-year-old moved to St James' Park from Tottenham Hotspur in January and scored four times in his 13 Premier League appearances for the Magpies in the second half of the season.
Newcastle were still relegated to the Championship, however, and it is understood that the England international will seek pastures new in this summer's transfer window.
Portuguese outfit Sporting Lisbon have been linked with a move, but according to The Guardian, Palace are ready to trigger the attacker's release clause, which stands at £10.5m for teams that finished in the bottom half of the Premier League table last term.
Townsend missed out on a spot in the England squad for Euro 2016.
