Steve McClaren praises Jeff Hendrick, Jesse Lingard

Derby County duo Jeff Hendrick and Jesse Lingard receive praise from their manager Steve McClaren following their goalscoring contributions against Charlton Athletic.

Derby County manager Steve McClaren has praised the clinical ability displayed by Jeff Hendrick and Jesse Lingard during last night's 2-0 win over Charlton Athletic.

The duo both found the net early on at the iPro Stadium to ensure that the Rams tightened their grip on top spot in the Championship.

"The goals we scored were excellent and came from great passing, great control and superb finishes," he told the club's official website.

"Jeff was excellent tonight and both him and Jesse finished the chances brilliantly. Jesse has been itching to start and he has deserved it. It was a great move leading to his goal and it was a great finish too."

Next up for McClaren's men is a trip to Fulham on Saturday afternoon.
