Evening all! It has been another pulsating season of Europa League football and tonight, the 2014-15 winner will be crowned. Dnipro Dniproetrovsk are certainly surprise finalists, but Sevilla know all about this competition. The scene is set in Warsaw – let's hope for an enthralling night of football!

Just a reminder that kickoff is not until 7.45pm (UK time), but be sure to remain with us for all the very best build-up. The team news is expected to land in around 40 minutes or so, but both sets of players will now know who is in the all-important XI. A European season of hard work all comes down to this one match. Possibly 90 minutes, possibly beyond. One thing is for certain - we will have a winner tonight.

It would certainly be fair to say that not many predicted Dnipro to reach the final. They were not fancied at the start of the competition and were not fancied in the latter stages. Napoli were the strong favourites to advance from their semi-final, but Dnipro came through impressively against the Italian giants. Sevilla, on the other hand, have a very special relationship with this particular competition.

This is Dnipro's first-ever UEFA final, but they did reach the quarter-finals of the European Champion Clubs' Cup in both the 1984-85 and 1989-90 seasons. Sevilla, however, have won the Europa League/UEFA Cup on three separate occasions – beating English side Middlesbrough in 2006, fellow Spanish team Espanyol in 2007 and Iberian rivals Benfica in last season's final in Turin.

Indeed, should Sevilla claim the trophy this evening, they will become the first team to win this competition for a fourth time. The fact that tonight's victor will gain an automatic spot in next season's Champions League is also another major incentive an offer. The competition itself is obviously extremely important, but every European club wants to ply their trade in the Champions League.

Dnipro's only previous encounter with Spanish opponents was in the group stages of the 2004-05 UEFA Cup, when they were beaten 2-1 at Real Zaragoza. Sevilla, on the other hand, are unbeaten in four meetings with Ukrainian sides – winning their last three. That run of results included a 5-4 aggregate victory over Shakhtar Donetsk in the last-16 stage of the 2006-07 UEFA Cup.

This is also just the second time that a team from Spain and a team from Ukraine have met in the final of a UEFA competition. The first and only occasion occurred in 1986, when Dynamo Kiev beat Atletico Madrid 3-0 to win the European Cup Winners' Cup. There were Ukrainian winners of this competition back in 2009, however, with Shakhtar claiming the trophy by beating Werder Bremen in the final.

Dnipro actually started their 2014-15 European campaign in the third qualifying round of the Champions League, which means they have had the longer journey to tonight's final – playing 18 games compared to Sevilla's 14. The Ukrainian side lost 2-0 on aggregate to Danish side Copenhagen in their Champions League qualifier, which brought a playoff in the Europa League.

Myron Markevych's side overcame Hajduk Split 2-1 on aggregate in the playoffs, and they were drawn in Group F alongside Inter Milan, Qarabag and Saint-Etienne. Dnipro welcomed Inter in their first match of the group, and it was a disappointing start as they lost 1-0. Next came a 0-0 draw away to French side Saint-Etienne, which left the Ukrainian side already playing catch-up in the group.

A home match against Azerbaijani side Qarabag presented Dnipro with the perfect opportunity to record all three points, but they again lost 1-0 to leave them with just one point after three games. They did win the reverse match against Qarabag on November 6, but then lost 2-1 at Inter Milan to leave them in a difficult position in the group. At that stage, qualification looked very unlikely.

As it transpired, Dnipro needed to beat Saint-Etienne in their final group game to secure second position and that was indeed the case, with Markevych's team finishing as runners-up on seven points. It was hardly an impressive group stage from the Ukrainian side and few would have picked them as challengers at that stage of the competition. This is what is on offer for the two teams tonight...

Olympiacos, who had impressed against Atletico Madrid and Juventus in their tough Champions League group, waited in the round of 32, but Dnipro managed to advance 4-2 on aggregate following a 2-2 draw in the second leg. Dutch giants Ajax were next up, and Dnipro triumphed on away goals despite losing the second leg 2-1 in Amsterdam. Their push for the final was seriously gathering pace.

Club Brugge provided tricky opposition in the quarter-finals, but again Dnipro showed metal to progress 1-0 on aggregate. Italian side Napoli, many people's favourites for the competition, were waiting in the semi-finals, but a 1-1 draw in the first leg in Napoli left Dnipro in a strong position. As it transpired, a 1-0 victory in the second leg was enough to see Dnipro make the final.

The team news is imminent in Warsaw, and it must be said that the atmosphere around the stadium is quite sensational. Both sets of supporters have travelled in their numbers tonight that is for certain.

BREAKING TEAM NEWS! Carlos Bacca will lead the line for Sevilla, with the Colombian preferred to Kevin Gameiro. Jose Antonio Reyes is also included for the Spanish team. As for Dnipro, Nikola Kalinic starts in attack, while Yevhen Konoplyanka and Ruslan Rotan are also in the XI. Lineups to follow...

So there we have it. Dnipro boss Markevych has selected former Blackburn Rovers striker Kalinic as his lone frontman this evening, with Yevhen Seleznyov only on the bench. Yevhen Shakhov, meanwhile, is only fit enough to start on the bench. As expected, Yevhen Konoplyanka, Ruslan Rotan and Leo Matos all start for the Ukrainian side in what appears to be a 4-2-3-1 formation this evening.

As for Sevilla, Aleix Vidal is given the right-back position after impressing in that role against Fiorentina in the semi-finals, which means that Coke is only on the bench. As expected, Bacca is given the nod ahead of Kevin Gameiro in attack, while Stephane Mbia and Grzegorz Krychowiak will hold the midfield.

Right, the two lineups are confirmed! In truth, no major surprises in either. Both managers have gone for a strong midfield, with wide players either side of a central striker. As a result, opportunities could be few and far between due to the somewhat defensive lineups. It should be an absolute cracker!

Right, we have looked at Dnipro's route to the final. What about Sevilla? As winners of the 2014 competition, the Spanish side automatically qualified for the group stages of the Europa League. They were drawn into a tricky group, with Feyennord, Rijeka and Standard Liege also making up Group G.

Sevilla opened their group campaign with a 2-0 victory over Feyenoord, before drawing 2-2 in Rijeka on October 2. Another draw away to Standard Liege followed, but they won the return match 3-1 at home to make it eight points from their first four group matches. There was disappointment away to Feyenoord, however, with a 2-0 defeat allowing the Dutch outfit to take control of the group.

"It is a surprise to see Kalinic start up front for Dnipro this evening. Seleznyov posed much more of a threat in the semi-finals, scoring both of his side's goals, and he can feel hard done by not to start here. Konoplyanka will be their danger man, but Sevilla's biggest task may be getting past Boyko, who was in fine form against Napoli. The Spanish side certainly have the quality to win this game, though, and Bacca will look to succeed where Higuain failed in breaking down what is a very stubborn Dnipro outfit."

Sevilla ended Group G with a 1-0 win over Rijeka, but that was not enough to top the group, with 11 points from six matches ultimately leaving them second – one point behind Feyenoord. Bundesliga outfit Borussia Monchengladbach were waiting in the round of 32, but Sevilla advanced 4-2 on aggregate in fairly comfortable fashion after winning the second leg 3-2 in Germany.

Spanish rivals Villarreal, who were themselves on a fine run at the time, were Sevilla's opponents in the round of 16, but again it proved fairly comfortable for Unai Emery's side, who advanced 5-2 on aggregate. Zenit St Petersburg were next up in the quarter-finals, and Sevilla managed to draw the second leg 2-2 in Russia to progress 4-3 on aggregate, albeit by the skin of their teeth.

Serie A side Fiorentina were expected to provide tough opposition in the semi-finals, but it proved to be extremely comfortable for Sevilla, who won 3-0 at home, before recording a 2-0 victory in Florence. As such, Sevilla have won the most games in this season's Europa League (10). Dnipro's record since the start of the group stage, meanwhile, is won six, drawn four and lost four.

Sevilla are also the joint top-scorers in this season's Europa League with 26, while Dnipro have only managed 13 in the same number of games. Down the other end, Sevilla have conceded 12, while Dnipro, who have been strong defensively since the group stages, have conceded 10.

In terms of recent form, Sevilla have been just excellent. They concluded their La Liga campaign with a 3-2 victory against Malaga at the weekend, but just missed out on fourth position after Valencia came from behind to beat Almeria. As a result, Sevilla finished fifth on 76 points having won 23 of their 38 league games and lost just eight times. Victory tonight would cap off another impressive season.

Sevilla have only lost one of their last 21 games in all competitions and that came against Real Madrid earlier this month. In the second half of the campaign, their form has been sensational. Just missing out on fourth in La Liga will have been a big disappointment, but as mentioned, they have the chance to secure an automatic Champions League position this evening. It is a massive incentive.

Dnipro, on the other hand, have not yet completed their league season. As it stands, they sit third in the Ukrainian Premier League – two points behind second-place Shakhtar, who they beat 3-2 in the league at the weekend. The league title is gone, with Dynamo Kiev 12 points ahead at this stage, but they have the chance to finish as runners-up once again when they face Hoverla at the weekend.

Dnipro's overall form has been patchy in recent weeks, however, with just three wins from their last eight games in all competitions. Form does not usually count for much in one-off matches, especially finals, but Sevilla will enter in the better moment. The bookmakers will tell you that the Spanish side are the favourites to claim the trophy once again. Kickoff is fast approaching in Warsaw tonight...

Dnipro have not lifted a major trophy since winning the Ukrainian Premier League in 1988 – one of just two successes in the league. Indeed, the last time that they made a final of any sort was in the 2003-04 season, when they were runners-up in the Ukrainian Cup. It would be some achievement if silverware did arrive this evening. Both teams are going through the motions with 15 minutes until kickoff.

PREDICTION! Dnipro, of course, must be respected. However, I just think that Sevilla will have too much on the night. The Spanish team are in such a wonderful run of form and have quality all over the field. It might well be tight for long spells, but I am backing Sevilla to claim the trophy with a 2-1 victory.

"This is a really tough one to call. Most signs point to a Sevilla victory, but having seen Dnipro continually upset the odds already in this competition, they can't be counted out. They are a very tough team to beat, and Sevilla will likely need to be patient if they are to come away with the trophy again. I do expect the La Liga side to emerge victorious, but it could go all the way to extra time. I'll go for a 2-1 Sevilla win."

Barney and I seem to agree and I can tell you that is not a common occurrence. In fact, this might well be the first time. Anyway, the atmosphere is really building with kickoff fast approaching tonight.

Here we go then. Both sets of players are just emerging from the tunnel in Warsaw. It is about a 50/50 split in terms of supporters and the noise is just deafening. Let's hope for a cracking game!

As expected, Sevilla have taken control of the possession in the opening couple of minutes, with Banega and Mbia already seeing plenty of the ball in the middle of the park. Bacca has a half-chance after controlling a high ball outside the Dnipro box, but his effort is high and wide of the crossbar.

Dnipro will be more than happy to spend long periods without the ball, but they must offer a threat down the other end. The referee has been forced to deal with a couple of late challenges thus far, but not much of note. As expected, it has been a fairly tight opening four minutes to proceedings.

Sevilla are the team probing in the early moments here, with a deep free kick from Banega causing problems inside the Dnipro box. Not too much of note from the Ukrainian side thus far tonight.

Sevilla have a penalty shout as Reyes goes down inside the Dnipro box, but the referee is not interested. There is no question that Rotan caught the Spaniard, but Reyes did go down a little too easily.

Breakthrough Dnipro! The Ukrainian side take the lead in the seventh minute as Matheus races down the right before clipping a cross onto the head of Kalinic, who nods into the bottom corner! That is the forward's 18th goal of the season. Blackburn Rovers fans might remember the Croatian striker.

Well, Sevilla have had things their own way in the last couple of months, especially in this particular competition, but they are up against it now. Dnipro are not a team that concede too many goals.

"That is huge for Dnipro. Their game plan was most likely to keep Sevilla at bay and try to nick a late winner, but to get one so early gives them a lead to defend now. It may not be good from a neutral perspective, but it is perfect for Dnipro. Sevilla, though, need to be wary of panicking as Dnipro have already shown how dangerous they can be on the counter."

Banega finds space outside the Dnipro box, but his effort was always moving high and wide.

Sevilla work another short corner and it ends with Vidal striking towards goal, but once again, Dnipro manage to make a block. I would be surprised if we had seen the last of the goals this evening!

This is so delicately poised at the moment. Sevilla are enjoying more of the ball, but Dnipro look a threat each time they break forward. It almost goes without saying, but the next goal is massive.

Sevilla did not panic after falling behind and there is no question that they deserve to be level. This has been a cracking 31 minutes of football and we are far from finished as Dnipro flood forward again.

What a turnaround! Good grief! Sevilla take the lead as Bacca peals off the Dnipro defence before collecting a pass from Reyes, rounding the goalkeeper and finishing into the bottom corner!

Dnipro have been very good at the back in the knockout stages of this competition, but Sevilla have goals from everywhere and they are fully in control now. Little over 10 minutes of the half to play.

Dnipro just cannot get into the game at the moment as Sevilla continue to threaten in the final third. I thought it would be tight in the middle of the park, but it is so open at the moment. You just get the feeling that the next goal - if there indeed is one - could be crucial. Can Dnipro find a leveller?

What a half of football! The referee brings the first period to a close with the two teams level at 2-2. Dnipro took the lead after seven minutes when Kalinic nodded home at the far post, but goals from Krychowiak and Bacca left Sevilla ahead just past the half-hour mark. The first-half scoring did not end there, however, with Rotan scoring a beautiful free kick after 44 minutes. It has been pulsating stuff!

STATS! Sevilla have shaded the possession in Warsaw with 60%, while they have had 11 attempts - three of which were on target. Dnipro, meanwhile, also registered three attempts on target. Referee Martin Atkinson has been a little card-happy tonight and thus far issued three bookings.

BENCH WATCH! Dnipro boss Markevich has a number of options on his bench this evening, with the likes of Gama, Shakhov and Seleznyov all in reserve. Sevilla, meanwhile, have options in the shape of Gameiro, Iborra and Suarez. Will either manager look to their bench at the interval here?

"Magnificent first half there - certainly a lot better than I was expecting! Dnipro have shocked so many people already in this competition, and they did so again in that opening 45 minutes. I was not expecting them to recover from that quickfire Sevilla double, but they just will not give up. Good pressure from Sevilla in the last couple of moments as Banega wins and then takes a corner, but Mbia cannot make contact in a crowd of players. Dnipro break down the other end with Matheus, but Vidal is on hand to clear the danger. Both teams are threatening on the counter attack tonight.

The noise inside the stadium is just incredible at the moment, with both sets of supporters making their mark. As it stands, we are heading for extra-time, but there is still a lot of football to be played here.

Matheus remains nice and bright for Dnipro and again the attacker turns outside the Sevilla box before striking towards goal, but Rico is on hand to claim the deflected effort. Still 2-2 in Warsaw.

Konoplyanka keeps going after being encouraged to drive towards the Sevilla box, but the attacker's final effort was always moving over the crossbar. Not too much from Sevilla at the moment here.

Sevilla just cannot find that final pass at the moment as Dnipro remain nice and solid at the back. In truth, neither team has created a chance of note in this second period. There have been four goals thus far and you just get the feeling that a fifth - if it indeed arrives - would be a winner here.

Dnipro threaten as Bezus finds space in a wide area before delivering, but Sevilla manage to clear for a corner. There will be four added minutes and Sevilla have some defending to do at the moment.

Dnipro again deliver a corner towards the near post, but Iborra gets up to clear. The ball is swung back in towards Matos, but his header is straight into the arms of Rico, who releases down the field.

Time is running out for Dnipro as Sevilla win a free kick deep in the opposition half. Sevilla are heading for a record-breaking fourth Europa League title and on the balance of play, they deserve it.

Sevilla have also qualified for next season's Champions League, meaning that La Liga will have five representatives. What an evening of football in Warsaw. Congratulations to Sevilla once again!
