Preview: Doncaster Rovers vs. Ipswich Town

Sports Mole provides a lowdown on Boxing Day's meeting of Doncaster Rovers and Ipswich Town in the Championship.

Ipswich Town take their five-game unbeaten run to floundering Doncaster Rovers on Boxing Day looking to possibly break into the top six for the first time this season.

Blues boss Mick McCarthy has no fresh injury concerns but is likely to still be without Stephen Hunt and new recruit Sylvan Ebanks-Blake for the trip to the Keepmoat.

McCarthy has been playing with a new 4-3-3 formation of late and should stick with the same XI that drew with Watford on Saturday.

Doncaster, meanwhile, have lost three on the bounce, conceding three goals in each, and plummeted to within three points of the relegation zone.

Manager Paul Dickov may decided to start Federico Macheda after the Manchester United loanee began Saturday's defeat at Derby County on the bench, with Chris Brown the most likely to drop out for the Italian.

Goals have been aplenty in the last four meetings between the pair, with three 3-2 scorelines and one 6-0 drubbing in Ipswich's favour.
