Dutch midfielder Rodney Sneijder has agreed a deal to join Dundee United, subject to international clearance.
The 24-year-old is the younger brother of Galatasaray and Netherlands international midfielder Wesley Sneijder.
Rodney, who had been a free agent following his release from Eerste Divisie side Almere City, has agreed a two-year-deal at Tannadice Park.
"I am very happy to sign Rodney. He showed great desire and application whilst training with us during pre season and he will add great quality to our midfield," United manager Jackie McNamara told the club's official website.
"He has a fabulous pedigree and you can see his talent. He will become a fans' favourite at Tannadice and this signing is a real coup for the club. I look forward to working with Rodney and seeing him in our team this coming campaign."
Rodney, who has six caps for the Netherlands Under-19 team, had been on trial with the Scottish Premiership side, and has already featured in two of their pre-season friendlies this summer.
