Paul Hartley is confirmed as the new manager of Scottish Championship side Dundee.

Paul Hartley has been confirmed as the new manager of Scottish Championship side Dundee.

The former Alloa Athletic boss replaces John Brown, who left the club on Monday by mutual consent.

The Dens Park outfit are second in the league, and director of football operations John Nelms said that he was "delighted" that they had been able to convince Hartley to join the club.

"I'm delighted that we have managed to attract one of Scotland's brightest up and coming manager's to Dens Park and his dynamism and forward thinking fits perfectly into our plans for the club," Nelms is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.

Hartley led Alloa to successive promotions, but resigned last month.
