Dundee youth players sacked for supporting rivals?

Two Dundee youth players claim that they have been sacked by the club for attending Dundee United's Scottish League Cup final against Celtic.

Two Dundee youth players claim that they have been sacked by the club for attending the Scottish League Cup final between Celtic and fierce rivals Dundee United.

Liam Fitzsimons and Josh Mackenzie, both 16, released the news on Twitter with Fitzsimons saying: "Gutted that I won't be with the boys anymore but getting released for going to a cup final? Some club Dundee Fc are. But anyway FTD".

Mackenzie simply added: "Actual fuming".

Dundee United lost the Scottish League Cup final 2-0 to the domestic champions.
