Scottish Premiership roundup: Celtic beat Dundee to stay top

Sports Mole rounds up all the action from the Scottish Premiership where Celtic remain top thanks to a 2-1 win over Dundee.

Celtic stay top of the Scottish Premiership as goals from Anthony Stokes and John Guidetti gave Ronny Deila's side a 2-1 victory over Dundee this afternoon.

Second-placed Inverness Caledonian Thistle kept up the pressure on the league leaders though as goals from Billy McKay, Marley Watkins and Josh Meekings were enough to secure a 3-1 victory over Motherwell.

Dundee United also remain within touching distance as efforts from Nadir Ciftci and Stuart Armstrong, as well as a last-minute strike from Aidan Connolly, gave them a 3-1 victory over Kilmarnock at Tannadice Park.

Elsewhere, Anthony Andreu's ninth goal of the season set Hamilton Academical on the way to a 3-0 win over St Mirren that keeps Tommy Craig's side in trouble at the wrong end of the table.

However, it is Ross County that stay in the relegation place as a first goal for his new club from former Everton striker James McFadden gave St Johnstone a 2-1 win over the Staggies.

Results in full: Celtic 2-1 Dundee, Dundee United 3-1 Kilmarnock, Hamilton Academical 3-0 St. Mirren, Inverness Caledonian Thistle 3-1 Motherwell, St Johnstone 2-1 Ross County
