Dunfermline Athletic sign Shaun Rooney

Shaun Rooney joins Dunfermline Athletic from Queen's Park.

Former Queen's Park defender Shaun Rooney has completed a move to Scottish League One side Dunfermline Athletic.

The 19-year-old, who was named in the Scottish League Two Team of the Year last season, had been on trial with Hearts earlier this summer.

However, he has agreed terms with Allan Johnston's side and made his debut in the win against Stranraer at East End Park on Saturday.

Rooney, who made more than 30 appearances for Queen's Park last season, had also been linked with St Mirren.
