Roy Hodgson is adamant that England will employ the same tactics against Italy that they have used so far at Euro 2012.

Roy Hodgson has insisted that he will not send his England side out to play any differently during tomorrow's Euro 2012 quarter-final against Italy.

Some reports had claimed that Hodgson may consider starting the match with just one striker in an attempt to match up with Italy's five-man midfield.

However, the coach is adamant that his players will continue to play in the same way that saw them reach the final eight as Group D winners.

"I am not so certain it is such a different mentality in the knockout stages," he told reporters.

"In the group stages there is always an element of knockout involved because one result can make a difference. It won't change our mentality."

Hodgson not been defeated in his five matches as England manager.
