Gary Neville believes that Mario balotelli adds 'extra spice' to the quarter-final between England and Italy.

Gary Neville has claimed that Mario Balotelli will want to prove a point when England face Italy in the quarter-finals of Euro 2012 on Sunday.

The Manchester City striker is expected to start against Roy Hodgson's side and Neville believes that Balotelli's presence will add "extra spice" to the contest.

The England coach said: "Obviously knowing him and having played against him means there will be that added extra spice that Balotelli himself will want to put one over on England.

"He plays in the country, he is a big figure in England in respect of the media he gets and is a champion of England."

Balotelli has scored one goal during the tournament so far.
