England kept up their 100% start to Euro 2016 qualifying with a 3-1 victory over Slovenia at Wembley this evening.

Jordan Henderson's own goal was quickly cancelled out by a Wayne Rooney penalty, before Danny Welbeck netted a brace to seal the victory for the home side.

Here, Sports Mole takes a look at who impressed during a fifth consecutive victory for the Three Lions.

ENGLAND

Goal

Joe Hart: Was not tested at all by the visitors and could do nothing to prevent Henderson's header flying in. A very quiet night for the number one. (6/10)

Defence

Nathaniel Clyne: Made a really bright start and was always a willing runner forward down the right flank. Will get sterner defensive tests in the future, but a very solid debut for England's newest player. (7/10)

Gary Cahill: Did not have much to do over the 90 minutes, but was there whenever called upon. Denied Kampl very well once after a mistake by Jagielka. (7/10)

Phil Jagielka: Had one lapse when Cahill bailed him out, but otherwise had a fairly comfortable evening. Had a good chance at the other end, but planted his header straight at the keeper. (6/10)

Kieran Gibbs: Was not tested too much defensively and made the odd probing run forward, but probably did not do enough to keep his place when Baines returns to fitness. (6/10)

Midfield

Jack Wilshere: Looks to be Hodgson's number one choice at the base of the diamond, and is beginning to find his feet in that role. Another good performance both on and off the ball from the Arsenal man. (7/10)

Jordan Henderson: Was impressive off the ball as he always looked to win possession back quickly, but left a lot to be desired when on the ball himself. Scored the own goal and missed a couple of good chances to release those in front of him. (5/10)

Adam Lallana: A hit-and-miss performance from the Liverpool man. Had a hand in both of Welbeck's goals but conceded a soft free kick from which Slovenia opened the scoring and also wasted a number of set pieces. (6/10)

Raheem Sterling: Not quite on top form, but still a threat on occasions. His pace created a couple of chances over the 90 minutes, while he combined with Welbeck beautifully for England's third. (7/10)

Attack

Wayne Rooney: Marked his 100th cap with a goal, having won the penalty himself with a good run into the area. Took one step closer to reaching Sir Bobby Charlton's goalscoring record. (7/10)

Danny Welbeck: Capped off a good performance with a brace that ultimately handed England all three points. Was a little lucky with his first, but took the second really well. (8/10)

Substitutes

James Milner: Replaced Lallana with 10 minutes remaining and ensured that England saw out the game in a professional manner. (6/10)

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain: Came on for the final five minutes and made a few bright runs down the right flank without having a telling impact. (6/10)

Chris Smalling: Only had a matter of minutes on the pitch having replaced Jagielka right at the end of normal time. (6/10)

SLOVENIA

Goal

Samir Handanovic: Almost made a superb save to keep out Rooney's penalty, but there was just too much power on it. Conceded three goals, but could not do much about any of them. (6/10)

Defence

Miso Brecko: Dealt with Lallana fairly well down the left but struggled when Gibbs also overlapped, as was the case for England's third goal. (5/10)

Branko Ilic: Was the more solid of the two centre-backs as Rooney was kept quiet for long periods until England really started to pour forward. (6/10)

Bostjan Cesar: Lucky to stay on the field following an elbow on Lallana in the first half and recklessly conceded the penalty with a trip on Rooney. Did make a fine block to deny the skipper, but was otherwise a bit of a liability. (4/10)

Andraz Struna: Did not have much help against the overlapping runs of Clyne in the first half, and struggled to keep pace with Sterling when the youngster moved out wide after the break. (5/10)

Midfield

Valter Birsa: Battled on after going down injured at one point, but was pretty anonymous throughout. (5/10)

Ales Mertelj: Protected his defence well in the first half, but began to tire as the match wore on. Also struggled to help his side create anything going forward. (6/10)

Jasmin Kurtic: Was the man responsible for testing Handanovic most in the first half with an over-zealous back pass that resulted in an England corner. Otherwise did not have much of a say on the game. (5/10)

Andraz Kirm: Got the assist with a dangerous ball into the box that Henderson put past his own keeper. Struggled to threaten in open play, though. (6/10)

Attack

Kevin Kampl: Almost capitalised on a Jagielka error, but was thwarted by Cahill. Looked as likely as anyone to create something for the visitors. (6/10)

Milivoje Novakovic: Squandered his side's best chance by nodding wide in the first half when he should have done better. (5/10)

Substitutes

Dejan Lazarevic: Came on shortly after the hour mark and showed one sign of his blistering pace, but ultimately did not have an impact on the game. (6/10)

Rajko Rotman: Fired a rocket of an effort over the crossbar, but failed to do much else during his 15-minute cameo. (6/10)

Zlatan Ljubijankic: Replaced Kirm in the 78th minute, but did not have enough time on the field to affect the match. (6/10)
