Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain disappointed despite good result

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain says that England's draw in Brazil was a "good result" but admits that he is disappointed at not being able to hold on to the lead.

England winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has expressed his disappointment at surrendering their lead to Brazil but insists that a draw was a good result.

Having fallen behind, goals from the Arsenal man and Wayne Rooney put the Three Lions ahead, but a late Paulinho strike ensured that the game finished 2-2 at the Maracana.

Oxlade-Chamberlain admits that he felt dejected that his side couldn't hold on to their lead but is adamant that the draw was not a bad outcome.

"The fact we did go 2-1 up, you always want to close out the game so in that sense we're disappointed," Oxlade-Chamberlain told ITV.

"Brazil are a top quality side and they tried to break us down but we kept our shape well.

"It's tough coming away in this heat, in a stadium like this and with their quality, it's a good result."

The 19-year-old also admitted that he doesn't remember much about his goal.
