England drop two places into fifth position in the FIFA world rankings following the recent batch of 2014 World Cup qualifiers.

England have slipped down two places into fifth in the FIFA world rankings following the recent 2014 World Cup qualifiers.

Roy Hodgson's men have been overtaken by Portugal and Argentina, who sit in third and fourth respectively, while European and world champions Spain remain firm at the top of the pack.

Germany stay in second place, while the Netherlands have been promoted above Uruguay into the sixth position.

Scotland have dropped down into 56th on the list with Wales sitting just below, while Northern Ireland are placed in 117th position.
