Roy Hodgson wants to test Ben Foster, Fraser Forster

England manager Roy Hodgson says that he wants to give some experience to other goalkeepers ahead of the World Cup but repeats that he is happy with current number one Joe Hart.

England manager Roy Hodgson has hinted that Fraser Forster will get a chance in goal as he prepares the team for next year's World Cup in Brazil.

The 66-year-old has stated his faith in Manchester City stopper Joe Hart but said that he is keen to give experience to other contenders for the gloves, with both the Celtic man and West Bromwich Albion's Ben Foster being mentioned.

"The goalkeeper front is looking much brighter than it did some while ago, especially with the emergence of Forster," he told talkSPORT.

"It's good that Joe Hart has had this spell - he's played all the 10 games. Our total of conceding just four goals is one of the best alongside Holland and Belgium. We've got to be happy with that and Joe has got to be happy with that.

"But, obviously, at some stage the other goalkeepers have got to have a chance to show us what they can do, at least for part of a game. I'm hoping to get Ben Foster back at some stage."

John Ruddy and Jack Butland could also be in contention to add to their international caps.
