Roy Hodgson: 'Friendly display not crucial'

England manager Roy Hodgson plays down the significance of tonight's friendly with Denmark in relation to his World Cup squad.

England manager Roy Hodgson has said that tonight's friendly with Denmark will not make or break anyone's chance of making his World Cup squad.

The Three Lions host the Danes at Wembley in their final warm-up game before the boss finalises his 23-man squad for the Brazil tournament.

"I don't think you can discount anyone [from tonight's game]," Hodgson told ITV Sport.

"Your performance will count and will do you a power of good, but we won't be judging a player purely on their 45 minutes, 60 minutes or 90 minutes from tonight.

"We're also going to be taking in account their club form also."
