England manager Roy Hodgson has claimed that he has no concerns over the fitness of striker Andy Carroll, despite the forward recently suffering from a hamstring strain.
The 23-year-old, who is on loan at West Ham United from Liverpool for the season, has been included in Hodgson's Three Lions squad for their 2014 World Cup qualifiers against San Marino and Poland.
"Andy played 23 minutes including injury time on Monday and I am expecting him to play more minutes on Saturday against Arsenal, either from the start or coming on," said Hodgson. "He has another week after that so I don't think there is any reason for me to question his fitness."
Meanwhile, Stoke City defender Ryan Shawcross has been called into the squad as a replacement for John Terry, who retired from international football last month.
