Jack Wilshere: 'I must fight for England squad place'

Jack Wilshere says that he will have to earn his place in the England squad for the World Cup in Brazil next year.

Jack Wilshere has admitted that he is far from guaranteed a place in the England squad for next summer's World Cup in Brazil.

The Arsenal midfielder came off the bench against both Montenegro and Poland over the past week as the Three Lions picked up back-to-back wins to earn them World Cup qualification as Group H winners.

While he has heaped praise on the team for the 2-0 victory over Poland on Tuesday, Wilshere feels that his personal hard work starts now.

"Just woke up, still can't believe we have qualified to go to the World Cup in Brazil! Stuff dreams are made of! Atmosphere was amazing!" Wilshere said on Twitter.

"Hard work starts now to make sure I stay in the squad! Thanks for the support last night. English fans were incredible! Polish was decent too."

Wilshere will be in action for Arsenal at the weekend when they host Norwich City.
