Everton boss Roberto Martinez confirms Seamus Coleman, Phil Jagielka absence

Everton boss Roberto Martinez confirms that Seamus Coleman and Phil Jagielka will miss Wednesday's Merseyside derby.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has confirmed that Seamus Coleman and Phil Jagielka will play no part in Wednesday's Merseyside derby against Liverpool at Anfield.

The pair are struggling with injuries, which also plunges them into doubt for this weekend's FA Cup semi-final against Manchester United at Wembley.

Coleman suffered a hamstring injury during Everton's 1-1 draw with Southampton at Goodison Park last Saturday, while Jagielka has been dealing with the same injury for the last 11 days.

Tom Cleverley, Aaron Lennon and Leighton Baines will be assessed before Wednesday's game.
