Sam Allardyce's Everton dismissal was 'amicable'

Sam Allardyce's exit discussions at Everton are said to have been "amicable".

Sam Allardyce's exit discussions at Everton are said to have been "amicable".

The former England boss was given his marching orders by the Goodison Park outfit this morning and, according to Sky Sports News, the meeting lasted around an hour.

Both Allardyce and majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri are said to have reached a mutual agreement that their time working together had come to an end.

Members of Allardyce's backroom staff, including Sammy Lee, Craig Shakespeare and Martyn Margetson, have also left the club.

The 63-year-old reportedly walked away with around £6m due to the termination of his contract 12 months early.
