Romelu Lukaku: Everton is "perfect" for me

Romelu Lukaku admits that Everton is the "perfect" club for him after he ignored interest from Juventus to join the Toffees in the summer.

Romelu Lukaku has revealed that he turned down the chance to join Juventus as he felt that Everton was the "perfect" club for him.

The Belgium international enjoyed a successful loan spell at Goodison Park in the 2013-14 season, and made his move permanent in the summer in a record-breaking £28m switch from Chelsea.

"I thought about Serie A and Juventus because they are a big club. But for me Everton was perfect," Lukaku told The People.

"I'm here and I'm happy. I don't regret any choices I've made. Everton was the best choice I could make as a young player who wants to progress and develop.

"This club is a good fit for me. They made so many efforts to get me. I feel at home here."

Lukaku has scored twice for the Toffees this season in the Premier League.
